Resolute President and CEO recognized as Executive of the Year for contributions to sustainability
Print
MONTREAL (News release) -- Yves Laflamme, Resolute's president and chief executive officer, was recently recognized for his contributions to sustainability. On September 10, 2020, The 2020 International Business Awards (IBA) honored Mr. Laflamme with a silver Stevie® award in the Executive of the Year - Manufacturing category.

Recognition of Mr. Laflamme mirrors the Canada's Clean50 and Clean16 award he received last year, which also highlighted the company's continued reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and the complete elimination of single-use plastic bottles across our facilities and offices.

Additionally, Resolute won two bronze Stevies in the Achievement in Human Resources and Human
Resources Department of the Year categories for our employee relations and recruitment programs.

Comments from the judges included:

"An impressive job creator with a focus on long-term environment sustainability."

"A company over two centuries old...with an established value system and employee loyalty, affiliation and ties that unite all."

The IBAs are an international, all-encompassing business awards program recognizing outstanding performance in the workplace. The 2020 competition received 3,800 entries from organizations in 63 nations, and the winners were determined by more than 250 executives worldwide.

In August, Resolute was also recognized by The Stevie® Awards for Great Employers in three categories. The company won a silver Stevie in the Recruiting or Talent Acquisition Team of the Year category for our Human Resources department's recruitment strategy, as well as two bronze awards in the Employer of the Year - Manufacturing category and the Achievement in Recruitment category for our Jobs Where You Grow campaign.
